This Program is designed to give students an in-depth knowledge of theory, practice and
research in Child and Adolescent Psychology. It covers the application of the scientific
theories and principles of Child and Adolescent Psychology to help in the understanding and alleviation
of Child and Adolescent Psychology concerns, distress and dysfunction, and in promoting well-being.
It gives students a broad foundation in child and Adolescent psychology with an emphasis on social and emotional development, along with specific skills in evidence-based diagnosis, treatment and prevention of mental health disorders in children and teens.

Entry Requirements
Atleast a second class upper Bachelor’s degree in the biological, sociocultural, and behavioral domains such as Psychology, Medicine, Nursing, Social work, Nutrition, Counselling, Public health, Education etc.
Candidates who have a Second class Lower degree should have at least a Postgraduate Diploma with at least a credit from an accredited degree awarding institution.

Graduates can find employment in a variety of settings including community health and community services organizations, the health professions, rehabilitation providers, Educational institutions , child protection, family support counselling services, allied clinics and services, and private practice.
